What is UP CNET Exam?
The UP CNET exam is a state-wide exam conducted by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University. It is conducted to select candidates for admission to the undergraduate Course (B.Sc. Nursing) in the participating institutions. Students can check the UP CNET exam highlights below:

UP CNET Counselling 2026
UP CNET Counselling is the last stage of the examination process. ABVMU conduct the counselling online only and the candidates are directed to report at the allotted college/insitute within the prescribed dates. The UP CNET 2026 Mop-Up Round Counselling result was released on July 31.
UP CNET Cutoff 2026
The ABVMU is not releasing the UP CNET Cutoff 2026 in the public domain. The candidates can check their round-wise and category-wise UP CNET cutoff by logging in with their application number and password.
UP CNET BSc Nursing Minimum Percentile
The minimum qualifying criteria (in percentiles) of the BSc Nursing entrance exam are as follows:
- General - 50th
- General- PwD - 45th
- SC/ST/OBC- 40th
UP CNET Eligibility and Application Form
The ABVMU prescribe the UP CNET eligibility in the official information bulletin. The candidates need to confirm whether they fulfil all of them or not. In case of any variation, the University can cancel the candidature at any stage of the examination/admission process. Check some of the eligibility criteria for UP CNET exam below:
- The minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December of the exam year.
- Candidates with Science who have passed (10+2) examination must have obtained a minimum of 45 per cent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together and passed in English individually from any recognised board.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category who have obtained 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together.
- English is a compulsory subject in Class 11 and 12 for eligibility for admission in the BSc Nursing programme.
- Unless a candidate is declared medically fit by the Medical Board constituted by the Government Medical College or the District CMO, he/she will not be eligible to join the course.
UP CNET Application Fee
The ABVMU prescribed the UP CNET application fee for each category separately in the information bulletin. The candidates can see the UP CNET application fee below:

The candidates were required to pay the application fee online only.
UP CNET Application Form 2026
The UP CNET applications were closed on May 21. The candidates were required to fill the registration form first to generate the application number and password. The candidates were asked to log in with the newly created login id and password and fill the application form. The application form was deemed completed after paying the application fee and getting the Acknowledgement page.
The candidates are advised to read the UP CNET 2026 information bulletin before filling the application form. This year, the University merged the application filing and correction process.
UP CNET Pattern, Syllabus and Preparation

UP CNET Syllabus
The university does not provide the details of the UP CNET syllabus in the information bulletin. It notifies that the syllabus of Class XI and XII of UP Board will be deemed as its syllabus. But it provides the weightage of the subjects in the information bulletin as given below:

The candidates are advised to prepare all the topics studied in Class XI and XII because it will form the basis of the UP CNET Exam. Some of the important points for UP CNET preparation are given below:
- Read, learn and understand the Concepts of Physics and Chemistry.
- Prepare the Biological process as given in the Biology topics.
- Solve the previous year's question papers in a time-bound manner
- Prepare for time management during the paper.

UP CNET 2026 Admit Card
The UP CNET 2026 admit card/hall ticket was available at https://www.abvmucet26.co.in/. Candidates downloaded it through www.abvmuup.edu.in. The UP CNET admit card were downloaded with the help of Registered ID Number & Login Password. The UP CNET hall ticket was not sent by post. Candidates are advised to preserve his/her UP CNET admit card in good condition for future.

As per the prospectus shared by the conducting body, ABVMU, the passing marks in the CNET exam are: 50th percentile for General, 45th percentile for PwD category, and 40th percentile for the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Candidate not more than 35 years of age can apply for the UP CNET exam. The minimum age to appear for the CNET nursing exam is 17 years. Age is an important criterion. Candidates must adhere to it while filling the application form. Candidates not fulfilling this criterion but having qualified the exam will not be given admission to the CNET participating institutes.
Candidates with minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2026 can apply for the nursing entrance exam. It is mandatory to have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) taken together. English must be a mandatory subject in Class 12. 45 per cent aggregate marks in PCB for general category candidates, and 40% marks in PCB for reserved category candidates are mandatory.
To pursue the BSc nursing programme a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam. The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in class 12.
Minimum Marks required to apply for the exam are 40% for reserved categories and 45% marks for the general category.
