Common exam to be conducted for NDA (I) & (II) 2020: UPSC

This year, UPSC will conduct a common exam for NDA (I) and (II). Both the exams will be conducted on the same day, i.e, September 9, 2020. Initially, NDA (I) exam was scheduled to be conducted on April 19. However, the commission had postponed the exam due to the emergent situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic. The decision on NDA exam dates was taken in a meeting held on June 5.

In the notice released by UPSC, the commission informs, “A common examination for both NDA& NA Exam (I) and NDA & NA Exam (II), 2020, will be held on September 6.”

Students who have filled the examination form for NDA I need not to apply again. For the remaining students, the online application forms for NDA II will begin on June 10, 2020. The application process for NDA II will conclude on June 30, 2020.

UPSC conducts NDA exam for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). NDA I is conducted for admission to the courses beginning in January while NDA II is held for July courses. Selection of cadets in the academy is done based on written exam and interview.
