KSET 2019 notification- Know the past dates while waiting for this year's notification
There hasn't been a single announcement regarding the KSET 2019 notification till now.
The notification for Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) 2019 has been awaited since long. Every year, the notification is released by now, but there hasn't been a single announcement about the KSET notification as of now.
Last year, the University of Mysore had released the notification on August 21 and the online submission of application forms had started on August 23. The process continued until September 29, while the hard copies could be submitted until October 15. The exam was scheduled for December 30.
In the 2017 edition of the KSET examination, the notification was published on October 9. The online application forms could be submitted until November 7 and the hard copy submission was till November 20. The exam took place on December 31.
Also, in the year 2016, the state eligibility test was held on December 11.
Knowing all this, the candidates have been expecting the KSET 2019 notification since August. But, there has been no official announcement until now regarding the KSET 2019 notification.
In 2017, around 74,000 candidates had applied for the state eligibility test, out of which only 63,078 candidates had appeared for the exam.
All the candidates must start with the preparations till the time the notification gets released. They must not delay their preparations as the notification can be expected soon. Students can check the previous year exam dates for reference purpose by clicking on View KSET exam dates here.
All the students must go through the KSET syllabus carefully and chalk out a full schedule before starting with the preparations. The syllabus must be thoroughly analysed and the important topics should be highly prioritised.
About KSET exam
KSET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for recruitment and appointment of assistant professors in universities, colleges, institutions of higher education in government, aided, private nature in Karnataka state.
There will be two papers in the exam. Paper-I will have 50 compulsory questions of 100 marks, for which the time limit will be 1 hour. Paper-II will have 100 compulsory questions of 200 marks, for which the time limit will be 2 hours. It may, however, be noted that in KSET there has always been a gap of 30 minutes between paper I and II. There is no negative marking in either paper.
