NCTE makes TET compulsory for all school teachers; check details here

In a bid to promote quality education, the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) has decided to make Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) mandatory for school teachers of all levels.

All aspirants willing to teach students of Class 1 to 12 will have to qualify the test. Earlier, this was only applicable for teachers upto Class 8. It is an additional task for postgraduate teachers (PGTs) who teach students of Class 9 to 12.

CTET is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) twice a year to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in Classes 1-8. The test comprises two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1-5 are required to give Paper-I. While, candidates who wish to teach Classes 6-8 are required to take Paper-II. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1-8 are required to take both the papers.

CTET 2020-21 exam was conducted on January 31, 2021. CTET answer key will be released soon. The answer key will be released set-wise for Paper-I and II separately. Candidates can download the answer key by logging with roll number and date of birth.
