For the admission to majority of courses at Jiwaji Gwalior, candidates are required to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in the previous qualification exams. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category, a relaxation of 5% will be provided. For courses such as BE, MCA, MBA, DPharma, BPharma and others, the University considers valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main and DTE, Bhopal and others, varying course to course.

Candidates who manage to secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12 for the admission to UG level courses stand eligible for admission to Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya. Similarly, for PG level admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation.

In addition to this, candidates must secure valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main, MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, GMAT, ATMA and other equivalent exams to secure the final admission to the respective courses. Furthermore, candidates must meet the cutoff rank or score to be eligible through the accepted entrance exams. The final selection post entrance exams include counselling, and personal interviews. Candidates must qualify all the selection rounds to secure a seat at the University. 

Students can not get direct admissions at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Takshashila Campus. Admissions to engineering courses are based on the score of JEE Mains followd by DTE Madhya Pradesh Councelling. Admissions to programmes like BA, BSc, BCA, BCom, etc., are offered on the basis of CUET scores. For the management programmes like MBA, CET scores are considered.
