IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is subject to the fulfilment of the preset eligibility and selection criteria. The eligibility criteria for Diploma admission is for the candidates to have passed Class 10 with the minimum required aggregate (35%) and relevant subjects. Such candidates are required to appear for the University Entrance Test to be considered for seat allocation. Hence, getting a direct admission to the Diploma courses of IUST Awantipora may not be possible.

The mode of University of Jammu course admissions is online. Jammu University BTech admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores, interview rounds,  and merit. The accepted entrance exams are JKCET, JEE Main,  CUET, and others. Candidates applying through CUET must first visit the official website and register for the CUET exam. Then, appear for the CUET exam. In the next step, students must apply on the Jammu University official website with valid scores. In the next step, students must take part in the interview and various other rounds involved in the Jammu University admission.

Kashmir University is a public university. Accredited by NAAC A+ Grade and approved by the UGC and AIU. The university has been ranked 34 under the University category and 59 under the Overall category by the NIRF 2025.

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced
