From classroom to fieldwork- BVIEER makes it count.
Placements: I am from the M.Sc. in Environment Science and Technology and batch 2024-2026 at BVIEER. Around 70-80% of students from the previous batch get placed with the package that ranges from 3-6 LPA. My seniors secured internships in reputed organisations working in sustainability, research, and CSR.
Infrastructure: The department has good infrastructure with Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a library. The hostel is clean and peaceful. The mess food is decent, with a focus on hygiene. There are also 2 canteens on campus and basic medical help is available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and supportive. They encourage interactive learning. The course curriculum is industry-relevant with a good balance of theory and practical knowledge. In our college, exams are moderately difficult with a high pass percentage. There is always something going on like seminars, events, etc.
Other: I am from the M.Sc Environment Science and batch 2024-2026 at BVIEER. I chose this course because of my interest in the environment and sustainability. The best part is practical exposure through fieldwork and assignments. The campus is peaceful and green. I wish there were more advanced lab instruments and better sports facilities. Overall, it is a great space for academic and personal growth.

Two years in BVIEER was fun roller-coaster ride.
Placements: Almost 90-95% of students from my course were placed right after passing out from BVIEER. The highest package-4.2 Lacs, the average package- 3 lacs, and the lowest-2.4 Lacs annually. Top recruiting companies are NEPRA, Forest departments, BNHS, WTI, WWF, Corbett Foundation, and CEE. 70-80% of students got internships in various organisations such as CEE, Forest Departments, Swach, etc. Project Manager, CSR manager, and Field Scientist are some of the roles offered in the course.
Infrastructure: BVIEER has a well-equipped computer lab with high-speed Wi-Fi and licensed software. The library has more than 5000 books in it. Classrooms are big with good ventilation and light and equipped with projectors. The quality of food in the hostel is awesome and the campus has on-campus medical facilities, a playground, and a gym.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. It provides activity-based, practical learning which makes students industry-ready. The semester exams in college are intermediate to pass. The pass percentage of college is 90-95%.
Other: BVIEER ACT is a nodal agency to many governments as well as private CSR projects which gives students the opportunity to intern/volunteer for these projects.

Absolutely satisfied with the college, as it has really good faculty and curriculum.
Placements: Internships are provided during the course for us to get hands-on experience. They assist in getting placed in good companies. Almost 90% of students get placed. The starting package is 1 LPA. The course is multidisciplinary, therefore, there are various roles and options in this sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very attractive, which makes it a lot easier and fun to learn. The library has many relevant materials needed for the course. The institute has a museum, library, and nature trail, while we learn through experiential learning. The hostel provides good quality food.
Faculty: The faculty are brilliant, and the teaching methodology is unique, which helps us not just gain knowledge but build our competencies and skills to work in this sector. The guest faculty that came to the institute our from various organizations and are well-experienced, which helps us in networking. The curriculum is well designed, and it involves all the aspects of the environment and has a holistic approach.
Other: The course is brilliantly designed, and the syllabus, field visits, internships and also extracurricular events, workshops held in the college makes it a complete package. The institute also organizes a summer school exchange program with University of Cologne, Germany, which helps in learning from an international perspective. The plus point is that the institute undertakes many projects that we as students can volunteer for during the course, which helps us individuals grow and build skills in this sector.
