Both IIT and IIM are different. You cannot appear for IIT exams without maths. Also IIM is for management course which can be taken by the student of any stream.

Dear Mr. Samdani, first check with your son what he is interested in. Second, B.Tech is a professional degree and is going to have more value than B.Com. Third, make your son go for integrated B.Com-MBA, so that later he does't have to run for admission for MBA. There are many good universities like LPU, Punjab; IIM, Indore; MMU, Haryana, etc. That are offering the course.
