1. Considering CPT as Quite Easy
The syllabus of CPT is almost similar to that of 12th Standard. The pass percentage for CPT are also approximately 30 %. As a result, the students consider it very easy and prepare not-so-well for the CPT, Hence, although they pass CPT but their percentage of marks for this exam remains very low in comparison to that scored in the 12th standard. Age is not the barrier. Avg age of students in IIM s is 27-28. The 46% might create a trouble. Make sure you get 90% and above in CAT and 0perform well in GDPI. Last year I got into the very reputed Doon Business School, Dehradun with 93.5% in CAT.

MBA is better, looking at its wide field of prospects. But, it always should go by your interests. MBA graduates are required to handle managerial finance positions like analysts. MBA with Finance major will open wide scope for a student in corporate. I am a student of Doon Business School, Dehradun and I have seen MBA Finance people have grabbed packages as high as Rs 23.5 lacs.
