For both science and commerce, maths is an important subject. Maths is being used in every subject of science. It is being used in engineering, physics and chemistry. In medical field, maths is bit less but still it is required there also. Commerce stream is based on maths only. All the subjects of commerce stream uses maths in small or larger way.

You can pursue any of them. Both are eligible but if you want to pursue MBA in finance, you have to opt for B.Com as you want to have accounts in it or else you can go for BBA.
