No, aerospace and aeronautical streams are different from each other. Aerospace is the stream of study about space, planets, rocket science, etc. But, aeronautical is the stream of study about airplane, its parts, design and modifications, etc.

A degree in aerospace engineering and a degree in aeronautical engineering, both prepare students to design aircraft. In fact, aeronautical engineering is a branch of aerospace engineering. You will have to start focusing on your career once you complete class 10th. One should opt for physics, chemistry and mathematics as core subjects in class 12th.
After you complete class 12th and obtain good grades, you should focus on a good Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. One could opt for a course in physics, chemistry, maths and biology or aerospace/ aeronautical engineering.
To get a post graduation degree and a doctorate, you need to do well in your undergraduate degree.

The university of Toronto, Ryerson University and Carleton University are Canada's top three for aerospace engineering studies. International students can work after studies, you will be normally granted a work visa of 2 to 3 years depending on the length of the program. Aeronautical engineering course basically cover the study of aircraft and aircraft systems such as structure, aerodynamics, propulsion, aircraft design etc. It also covers a few topics of space engineering and labs that help understand the theoretical subjects better.

Aeronautical engineering is a niche engineering branch and has lesser opportunities in comparison to core branches of engineering. AE graduates are employed by DRDO, ISRO, Indian Air Force, HAL and other PSU, airlines, aircraft maintenance orgs, private sector aviation and ancillary industry, educational institutes, IT companies in engineering business units, etc. AE graduates have also good scope abroad.
