AFCAT

To be eligible for AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test), you need to fulfill certain educational criteria. As per the AFCAT eligibility criteria, candidates should have completed a four-year degree programme in engineering or a two-year programme in post-graduate courses in any Science stream with minimum 60% marks. Additionally, candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics in their 10+2 level of education or should have a 3-year Diploma in engineering in any stream recognised by AICTE. Since you are a lateral entry to B.Tech and have already completed your Diploma in engineering, you may be eligible to appear for AFCAT. AFCAT scorecard is released along with the result. To download the scorecard, candidates need to enter user ID, password and captcha code. The scorecard of AFCAT comprises the following details:

The hard copy of the AFCAT scorecard is not sent to candidates by post. The scores of candidates are calculated based on normalisation because the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. The normalisation of scores is done to adjust the difficulty level of the question papers held across various shifts. For every correct answer, three marks are awarded to candidates. For incorrect answers, one mark is deducted. No marks are awarded for unattempted questions. The scores are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers.
