Yes, a student with PCM background can apply for BAJMC programme in good Universities. But, what is imperative is to understand what being a journalist entails. Curiosity, willingness to work hard, storytelling and using "Why chaining" when it comes to news. It is a creative line of work that involves being in line with current affairs and a sense of objectivity and facts. If you feel you love all these aspects, then journalism is an amazing choice. My advice would be to focus on being a good well-read journalist before you think of being an TV anchor. All top notch TV news anchor you see today are first journalists.

Hello there,
Both are great career in their respective fields, RJ is one who entertain people by his voice only and TV anchor who hosts the show in front of camera. For TV anchor you need to learn mass communication and acting courses, whereas for RJ their are some institute (you can find on our home page) which give you training in RJying. RJ can lead you to TV anchor as well. Regards.

First of all, there is no such age limit to become an Anchor. For becoming one, all you need is passion, dedication and love for your work. An Anchor is a person who presents a news or delivers a program on TV, Radio or the Internet. You can either become a Broadcast Anchor or an Event Anchor. A few qualities that are required to be an Anchor are:
*Communication skills
*Writing skills
*Passion
*Knowledge
*Investigation and Research skills
*Confidence
*Presence of mind

You can opt for any discipline in 10+2 as it will not matter much if you wish to become a news reader. Once you complete your 10+2, you can appear for various entrance exams conducted for mass communication courses. You can see a list of top entrance exams by clicking here:
