The role of structural engineering is somewhat as similar to civil engineering. The job profile typically includes calculating the load/stress/tension on the structure by checking material strength. They have to ascertain that if the structure can function safely, researching design options and documenting the research results for project lead engineers and assuming the role of lead engineer for the assigned project. The role of structural engineers is very challenging. Their typical duties include the directing and supervision other engineer and drafter and seating up the coordination with other professional (like civil engineers, mechanical, electrical, and artistic engineer). M.Planning is a post graduate degree programme in planning which is a 2-year course. The opportunities available for M.Plan graduates are more higher than a B.Plan. They can also get paid more. However, the job profiles are similar, which includes: 1)Town planner 2)Urban planner 3)Transport planner 4)Planning engineer 5)Structure architect 6)Building inspector
Government sector: Government Departments related to Urban and Town planning, Government operated Housing schemes, Government Transportation Projects (Highways, Railways and Metros etc.), Government Construction and rehabilitation projects, PWD job posts, Municipal Corporation job posts, etc.
Private sector: When it comes to the private sector, firms indulged in Realty Development, Construction firms, Architecture and Interior Design firms, Public Structure Construction firms (PPP model- like roads and bridges etc.) recruit M.Plan grads.
Pay scale: The pay scale would obviously be higher as compared to a B.Plan graduate. Initially, these grads can earn around 30,000-50,000 Rupees per month.

On the other hand, the expert in Industrial Architecture will be hired by the companies like SuperNova Office Space, Flower Vally, Vedenta, etc. In this, you will have to learn the infrastructure development of big corporate companies. You will be assigned be the projects of construction of plant layout, the factory, office layouts of companies. Landscape architecture was a great and fruitful sector but in past times. Earlier, there was very lesser concentration om the internal look of an infrastructure. What all matters is the area and location along with atmospheric /environment conditions of the area which constitutes the landscape. But now, the things have changed. People are nowhere asking to beautify the interior look of the house, building, villas and bungalow. Hence, the necessity of an interior designer is rapidly increasing with every passing year. And, this is also the reason that why this field is considered as ever increasing. In India and the western countries, the requirement is increasing. But make sure that you do this interior designing course from a globally reputed and recognised college or institution. Whether doing Master of planning via distance mode is beneficial or not is depends upon your graduation profile. I will suggest you to go for Master of Planning through distance education only if you have sufficient work experience in this field. Dear, if you have done your Bachelors (in Planning) through regular mode and after passing your graduation if you do have good number of years for work experience in this field. Then, you can take distance education as an option for you. Because now, you have appropriate knowledge of this field. But if you are lacking in any one of the conditions, don't go for correspondence. Regular mode is the only option for you. I hope this helps.
