Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Est. in 1964 is one of the best colleges for higher education. College general ranking is 90 and university ranking is 54 By NIRF. The college has several campuses all over India for various department. Admission for the aspirants in B.Arch is done by the 50% weightage to NATA score and 50% weightage to class 12th qualifying marks. The college has 4 branches in Pune and among them, Katraj is the main campus. Katraj campus is spread over 85 acres of land in which 5 acres of land is for sports ground in which student play various type of game in their free time. The campus contains all the facilities which are required by the student. The college has in campus hostel and mess facilities. Hi, It will continue to be in demand for several reasons. Many engineers will avoid that field because of the attention to details it requires and the associated liability. Structural engineers are the reason people don't worry about buildings and bridges collapsing, and they demand a lot of respect.The the largest shift in materials in the future will be in composites and designs using high strength fibers that are strategically placed by structural engineers to withstand forces. I believe 3D printers will increase interest in using composite materials and they will start being utilized much more in construction in the future.nI have often been wrong about my predictions as to the future, so keep that in mind.nUnfortunately, it is very difficult to see a change as rapid as with the computer industry because unlike our industry they don't need billions of dollars to create something. I intend to say that our industry is very funding intensive and with depleting funds - it will be tough to get a rapid turnaround. Coming to the future in terms of technologies, contour grafting - 3D printing of houses has the potential to make its entry into regular housing practices. From the materials standpoint, sustainability is being stressed upon but a balance between sustainability and economy is preventing a lot of materials from making its entry - any advances on that balance can change a lot of materials we deal with. A change in design philosophies - limit design to performance-based, strength-based to durability based etc. Is happening to create a need for a change in our codes of practice and practice itself. The needed skill from labor is reducing with high tech products (like SCC, etc.). Which can make for a huge difference in terms of employed demographic and that could ultimately lead to more efficient construction methods.these years, we're seeing a lot of sustainability and full cradle-to-cradle. Also, we're seeing higher levels of integration between constructions and installations, in the name of energy efficiency. Structural engineering - at least in the building sector - is a rather conservative place, and new technologies only sift slowly through the branch. Materials are refined and so forth, but electronic technology is mostly something you add afterwards - it's not a part of the structural engineering itself. All the best.

Hi, At the expense of sounding biased, I think its pretty exciting to be a part of the urban planning, both its practice and its study as a discipline. I am an engineer by training and my graduate education in planning has incredibly expanded my worldview. On the theoretical side, the reconciliation of post-structuralist (post-modern) tradition within planning has been contentious and the concern, I think, hasn't yet subsided. How does the discipline, as a modernist project, conform to the demands of contingency, fluidity, polyvocality advanced by the post-structuralist movement, is the main question in the discipline.nTo put it simply, the demands placed by the 'real world' (ground-up participation, collaboration, adaptive governance, diversity in policy and plan making, salience of projects while maintaining plurality in process and outcomes etc.). Are pretty complex (note: not complicated) for them to be comprehended within a discipline designed to be reductionist in nature (segregation of planning departments, roles and responsibilities, capital-centric-evaluation tools like benefits-cost analysis etc., ).nHow can the top-down governance structure inject participative models of engagement? How can spatial and temporal dependencies evident in real world outcomes of policies and plans give way to a more adaptive approach? This dovetails into the practical side of planning. Issues like climate change, resource depletion challenges, environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, ecological challenge and loss of ecosystem services etc., are extremely important issues that gain amplified focus in planning, simply because it is here that man and his environment become the main thesis, the main challenge or object of the discipline.given these theoretical and practical aspects, planning evolution is rife, in meanings ascribed as to what the discipline should be about and what roles should planners assume. One can stay current by considering how major planning associations (APA, ACSP etc.). Shape the discourse and what comes off their position on aforementioned questions. No. I would never recommend. Moreover, any programme like distance course in engineering or architecture is not possible too. Certifications/ Associateship Examinations may be an option. If you have come to know something like distance course, that's false and someone is cheating on you. Please, be careful before investing in such things your hard earned money. Learning off-campus or face to face doesn't matter much if you have availability of performing practical work and there are teachers as well as material to learn theoretical concepts.

NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is an exam organized for the students who want to make a career in the architecture field. This is for UG and PG course in 423 affiliated college from the Council of Architecture. This is not a compulsory exam for aspirant who want to do B.Arch. Student can also apply for IIT-JEE Paper 2 exam which is also a national level exam. Rank of JEE paper 2 is also valid for giving admission to a student in a good college of India. Many state governments also conduct their own exams for giving admission to the student in B.Arch courses such as AAT, COMED-K, CEED AAT and many colleges conduct their own entrance exam for the students who want to make a career in architecture and passed the class 12th exam with atleast 50% marks. You can pursue your Bachelors in architecture from Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) through correspondence. It conducts non-formal engineering education programmes, successful completion of which is recognised as equivalent to a graduate degree in engineering. The Associate Membership of the Indian Institute of Architects (by examination) is at par with Bachelor's Degree in Architecture of recognised Indian Universities as notified by the Government of India for the purpose of employment and services under the Central government in the appropriate field.
The Indian Institute of Architects conducts its examination in four parts. Candidates desirous of taking the examination have to enroll themselves as Student Members. The minimum qualification requirement is a pass in class 10 examination with English, mathematics and science as compulsory subjects. He should be working in the office of an architect who is registered with the Council of Architects. Candidates possessing higher qualifications, such as 10+2 pass, Diploma holders in Architectural Assistantship and Civil Engineering and degree in civil engineering are exempted from appearing in some subjects. Construction Management (CM) or Construction Project Management (CPM), has its roots in Project Management (PM). PM in turn has its roots in aerospace projects, which have the distinction of being the projects which exceed their budgets by sometimes as high as 400% and get delayed by decades. Infrastructure; Construction projects too have faced similar problems, but, to a lesser degree.
In India, most civil engineering graduates who opt for a Masters (M.Tech/ME) mostly aim for Structural Engineering, as it is considered the toughest and the one with the most perceived value by both the industry and academia. CPM was a niche field and mostly unheard of, in India, as most infrastructure projects were publically funded and ultimately the government pulled the strings. Delays were the norm and cost overruns were tolerated.
But most projects (after economic liberalisation of India) are being funded by loans from the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and other nations such as Singapore (Amravati, Capital of Seemandhra), Japan (Bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad) and other investment entities. These investors and funding agencies recommend best standards and delays; cost over-runs are not tolerated. Hence the need for project managers and construction managers.
Real Estate in India is funded by black money and corrupt politicians, this is the ground reality. But genuine real estate developers distinguish themselves, with timely delivery of property and try to kept debt to a minimum. Now this can happen only if their projects are completed on time and within the budget, so that they can make a profit and maintain their reputation simultaneously.
Therefore, job openings for construction management professionals have increased in India faster in comparison with structural engineering. A structural engineer and a construction manager are still sought after by infrastructure and real estate developers. But recently CM and CPM have witnessed an upward trend, which leads to the popular conclusion of CM having a better scope than SE (which is also partly true because the structural engineering job market has saturated in recent years).
