Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. Well in Architecture the most critical aspect is the environment in which it is studied.
1.in IIT's Architecture is just a department, whereas CEPT ahemdabad and SPA Delhi are architecture schools where only architecture and design based programs are taught.
2. Curriculum wise IIT's are more focused on technical stuff, like building mechanics, function etc, while other architecture schools like SPA's, AoA, JJ and CEPT are more concentrated over design methodology and philosophies of building design.
3. In major Architectural competitions, IIT's usually don't stand a chance. Because all or most of them are like, they gave JEE, didn't get through engineering, so just to get that IIT tag, went for architecture. They never really get the hang of design and art based Architecture.
4. Take top 20 architects in India. I'lll give you some names. Hafeez Contractor, Sanjay Puri, Raj Rewal, BV Doshi, Charles Correa, Achyut Kanvinde, Laurie Baker, Hansmukh Patel, Somaya & Kalappa,Ravindra and Savita Punde, Karan Grover, Romi Khosla, Shahrukh Mistry to name a few. How many are from IITs? None.

No interior designing is not a part of architecture.
An architect is general terms is the one responsible for the basic design of the Building, whereas the interior designer is more concerned with the interior ambiance.An Architect :
-undergoes a rigorous education, which includes higher mathematics and drafting.-Usually undergo internships before going out into the world. -They must possess an understanding of a buildings basic structures. Most importantly an architect is responsible for the integrity and soundness of the buildings.
An interior designer can take an absolutely hopeless place and turn it into something charming and comfortable. Though they can suggest structural changes to walls, windows and additions, they can't do the architectural plans.
-They normally work with fabrics, furnishings flooring paint, wall coverings, art and object d'arts.
So while interior designers don't perform a critical role in safety or integrity, they often work hand in hand with the clients architect to ensure a smooth and even flow of information.
Both have a critical place in industrial and home design.

After your B.Arch you can opt for Masters in Architecture or a specialized master degree such as Master in Landscape Architecture/City or Regional Planning and so on.
Before applying to a programme abroad please check the accreditation status of the programme so that your degree has value globally. The largest accrediting board for architectural programmes globally is NAAB ( The National Architectural Accrediting Board, USA ) . Without accreditation the degree will not be recognized. In Canada, Master of Architecture degrees may be accredited by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB). Similarly in UK, the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) accreditation is given topmost priority.
Irrespective of where you study the above accrediting boards are the largest nationally and internationally. It is also suggested that you contact the concerned university for employment related queries.

Architects design and plan buildings and structure which are appropriate in terms of materials and design and also meet the client's specifications. Architects may be involved in all phases of development, from the initial discussion to construction. Their duties demand a variety of skills e.g design, engineering, managerial and supervisory.
