B.Des Eligibility

Candidates who have passed 10+2 education from a recognised board in any stream, i.e., Science, Commerce, or Arts, are eligible to the B. Design programme at Dev Bhoomi School of Architecture and Design with an aggregate percentage score of 50%. An additional requirement is entrance examination by the university itself in order to assess students' aptitude as well as creativity in the arena of design. Further selection processes include a personal interview for the assessment of the candidates. Such criteria ensure that the students are well qualified and have good backgrounds to enable them to participate effectively in the B.Des program.

To apply for the B.Des. programme at NIFT Kangra, you need to meet the eligibility criteria set by the institute. You should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised board, or an equivalent qualification from a foreign institution recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates who have completed a 3-4 year Diploma recognised by AICTE or state boards are also eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates must appear and qualify in the NIFT entrance examination, which includes a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). Once the entrance exam is cleared, shortlisted candidates need to go through document verification and counseling for final admission.

To be eligible for the B.Des programme at Vishwakarma University, Pune, candidates typically need to qualify through the VUNET (Vishwakarma University National Entrance Test). However, students can also secure admission if they have appeared in equivalent entrance examinations such as UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) or other valid assessments related to design programs. For instance, candidates qualifying UCEED directly may not need to appear for the VUNET exam. Also, candidates scoring non-zero marks in relevant examinations like MHTCET, CAT, or other equivalent assessments will be treated as eligible for their respective merit rankings.

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have earned at least 50% (45% for reserved categories) in their 12th grade (or equivalent) from an accredited board.
2. Age Limit: The candidate's age must fall within the range allowed by the university or institute's regulations.
3. Entrance Exam: The MP PET (Madhya Pradesh Pre-Engineering Test) or any other entrance exam administered by the institution or state-level organizations is typically the basis for admission. As an alternative, certain institutions may use their own design aptitude exam or interview to determine admission, and candidates may be accepted based on merit from their 12th board grades.

The eligibility criteria for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, East Delhi Campus offered B Des course will be those who have acquired 10+2 education from any recognised board in any stream, being Science, Commerce, or Humanities. For the purpose of eligibility, examination boards accepted are CBSE, ICSE, or other central and state boards. In addition to the above requirements, they also qualify through one of the entrance examinations recognised by the designing entrance exams, like IPU CET, CUET, UCEED, or NID DAT. It is an aptitude and design-sensitive programme wherein the selection is done based on entrance examinations that test analytical reasoning, logics, and visual aptitude, which are crucial for education through design.
