NIFT is a well known Design college in India for BFTech course. The fee structure at NIFT ranges from INR 5- 12 lakhs for the four-year course. However, the fee structure may vary depending on a lot of factors. The fee also varies for lateral entry and regular entry candidates.

Candidates meet the eligibility criteria to pursue a BFTech course if they have completed their Class 12 (in the 10+2 pattern of examination) from any recognised Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination with passing marks.
Apart from this, colleges also specify that in order to pursue a BFTech course aspirants should have studied subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at their 10+2 level. Candidates must also clear the entrance examination conducted by their desired college in order to pursue the BFTech course.

BFTech stands for Bachelor of Fashion Technology and on the other hand BDes stands for Bachelor of Design. Although both Fashion Design as well as Fashion Technology are a part of the same stream. But there is a fundamental difference between the two. Fashion Design basically deals with creating new design pieces which can be anything like apparel, accessories or even a fabric.
On the other hand, Fashion Technology basically deals with applying Science and tech to make fabrics from the raw materials that are available in the market.

BFTech/ Bachelor of Fashion Technology is a UG Fashion degree. It focuses on aspects of the fashion like apparel design, textile technology, and management.
The course provides knowledge and skills to get into fashion and textiles industries. It covers areas like fashion design, garment construction, textile science, fashion merchandising, marketing and retail management.
After BFTech, either opt for a job or further studies. Some courses that you can pursue after are Masters of Fashion Technology (MFTech), MDes in Fashion Design, Post Graduate Diploma in Fashion Design, etc.
