For BFTech course admission, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the college. Aspiarnts should pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board. The admission criteria for the course is NIFT + PI + Counselling. The FINAL score of NIFT 2025 for the other programs will be prepared by giving weightage to the written exams and Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

Yes, NIFT Chennai does offer lateral entry for BFTech programme. The institute provides the course in Apparel Production and it costs about INR 9 Lacs for lateral admission. Students must appear and clear the NIFT Lateral Entry Admission test (NLEA) to be eligible for admission. Yes, NIFT Chennai BFTech admission is entirely entrance-based. Students seeking to get into the course are required to qualify the admission criteria set by the institute. Students are shortlisted based on the score secured by them in the NIFT Entrance Exam General Ability Test (GAT) section. Candidates who have passed Class 12 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board are eligible to apply for the course.
