The NIFT Patna BFTech selection process is entrance-based. NIFT conducts a common entrance exam to shortlist candidates for various NIFTs. The entrance exam for BFTech admission comprises two sections of the General Ability Test (GAT). The seat allocation is based on the merit list released by the institute. The merit list is prepared based on the following criteria:

• GAT (Section A) - 30% weightage
• GAT (Section B) - 70% weightage

NIFT Patna offers a BFTech in Apparel Production. There are 34 seats for the BFTech course at the institute. For admission to BFTech course at NIFT Gandhinagar, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are NIFT + PI + Counselling and candidates must pass Class 12 from any recognised state/national board.
