BHMCT is an internationally accepted degree programme that has been designed keeping in view the international requirements for placements in world class hotels. The programme, designed in consultation with the industry experts, provides rigorous theoretical and practical inputs in the chosen area of specialisation viz Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, House Keeping, and Front Office. It is a three years degree programme that provides the skills, technical knowledge and professional acumen to establish a career in the hospitality sector. Acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in all the major areas of hotel operations: food production; food and beverage management, and catering operations; front office management; housekeeping operations; human resource management; and finance. Let me share few points about the Hotel Management programme at LPU :
Curriculum: High academic standards are maintained by offering the curriculum framed in consultation with industry experts. Student exposure: Being a part of a resource-rich University, the students have an advantage of interdisciplinary exposure which is not possible in standalone colleges. University-Hotel: The School also trains its students in the campus hotel named UniHotel of 25 rooms hosting national and international guests where students practice along with the staff. Infrastructure: The School has five modern kitchens with two bakeries. All kitchen and bakery are equipped to enable a student to perform scientifically and to attain their best of learning through most modern gazettes. We have few training restaurants to teach a student about the authentic serving style of food and beverage. We are equipped with one front office laboratory, two housekeeping laboratories, two computer laboratories with 60 computers, and a simulation laboratory for aviation. Placement: 100% placements record with minimum 10% students selected as Management Trainee (Junior Executive level) till date and the placement is with brands like Cox & Kings, Carnival Cruise, JET Airways, Oberoi, Taj, Leela, etc. Internship: Industry internships in top national and international five-star hotel brands like The Leela Palace, ITC, Taj, Oberoi, The Grand, Marriott, etc. Thank You!
