You might find it a bit difficult in the initial days, but over the duration of the course, you would be able to understand just like any other biology student would. But you would have to put some effort. It's up to you to decide whether it's worth putting the extra effort.

Admission to such courses often seek a Bachelor's in related field or equivalent. I do not think that your Bachelor's course is equivalent or related to media and communication. But do connect with the college and do a detailed enquiry.

You can't skip one year of college and you have not specified in which college you are seeking admission. What happens is that you will not get the marksheet for one year or two semesters.
