B.Sc. in fashion design is a 3- year undergraduate course in fashion designing, spread over 6 semesters The course covers the study of specialised fields in the area of fashion design, such as accessory and jewelry design, footwear design, garment design, interior design, and leather design. The fee structure vary from college to college. The average course fee charged in India ranges between INR 1 and 2 lacs for the total duration.

As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have attained the Higher Secondary/ 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised educational Board, and with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Following is the list of a few entrance exams:
AIIMS Entrance Exam- The All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi is one of the best medical colleges in the country. It conducts entrance exams for its B.Sc. Nursing and B.Sc. Nursing post basic course. The exam is usually conducted in June.
AFMC Entrance Exam- Armed Forces Medical College conducts an entrance exam for its B.Sc. Nursing course.
JIPMER Entrance Exam- Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research is considered to be one of the best institutes in the country.
Lady Harding's Medical College- This College situated in Delhi also conducts entrance exams for admission to its B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing course. There are other entrance exams conducted by each state for admissions to their affiliated colleges.

If you do DNS then you will get 1 year's Diploma certificate after which you can pursue B.Sc in the same via distance mode. This degree will not be a regular degree. When you do DNS course you have two semesters of 6 month each. After the completion of these semesters, you have to join the ship as a Trainee Deck Cadet with a training period of 18 months which will include your 3rd, 4th and 5th semesters. Once you complete your training period on board ship, you have to do modular advance courses as well as a 4-month competency course for a foreign going ship. Once you have done all of this, then you have to appear for 6 written exams and 3 orals which will be conducted by DG Shipping of India. Once you pass the same then you will get the certificate of competency, which will help you to join a ship as the second mate. Along with this, you have to give 3 written exams which will be conducted by the university for the B.Sc degree certificate. Fees of this course is around 2.5- 4.5 lakh rupees, it depends from institute to institute.
On the completion of B.Sc in nautical science, you will get a regular degree unlike DNS. However, after the completion of this course you have to go on ship for 12 months as a Trainee Deck Cadet. After the completion of training period, you have to appear for 3 oral exams, to be conducted by the Director General of Shipping. If all goes well then you will get the certificate of competency and you will then be eligible to join the ship as 2nd officer. The fees for this course is around 10-15 lakhs.
