You can do both at a time, but there will be no benefit of doing two courses together, as you can't represent yourself at places at a time. It can be a case of duplicacy, as how a person can be present at two different places at a time.

You can pursue engineering, as lateral entry or you can go for higher studies like M.Sc. Or you can do courses like cyber security, information technology, Data related or any other computer courses.

There is no much difference, both are subjects relating with computer programming and hardware. However, CS is an old name. Moreover, in IT some universities and institutions use to provide some more technical information regarding technology like nanotech, etc.
