It is a University Level Entrance exam conducted once every year with the purpose to select candidates for admission in the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in SASTRA (Deemed to be University), Tamil Nadu. Fill the admission form and then submit it before the deadline. Appear for JEE Main and meet the required cut-off score. Participate in the JoSAA round of counselling for final seat allotment. Fill college choices and select NIT Nagaland as the first choice.

NIT Surathkal will releases 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech in CSE. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis, and the seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors:
- The JEE Main score of the candidate
- The category of the candidate
- The number of seats available in the course
