There are good job opportunities but the package is not good. Private companies recruitment do not offer good package and you get too much of the work load. So, apply for a particular company which have good condition in the market and try to crack the interview.
Or for better package, go for higher studies like Masters.

Mechanical engineers can do following specialisation in M.Tech: Production engineering, Industrial engineering, Thermal Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Engineering Design, Computer Aided Design, Energy Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Management and Mechatronics.

Any student who is contemplating on pursuing a career in Biotechnology must be aware that this field is still developing in India. Therefore, the number of job openings and pay packages are both very low when compared with IT and CS fields. After a B.Tech degree, students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs and institutions in India. Yes you can, if you are confident to crack IIT-JEE with a good rank. Investing 1-year for B.Tech will be more fruitful if you get into top IITs or NITs or IIITs. You must be sure about your preparation for coming months so that you give your best shot and secure a good rank.
