Students who gave the JEE Main session 2 exam and want to take admission at IITs should start preparing for the JEE Advanced exam. Students with a more than 98th percentile should start to study for the JEE Advanced exam.
Those who have secured a percentile between 95th and 98th should focus more on mock tests and previous year question papers to get the preferred college via the JEE Advanced exam.

With your current JEE Main rank (~4,00,510), admission to CSE in top government colleges of Delhi/NCR (like IIT Delhi, DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi, NIT Delhi) is not possible. However, you can secure B.Tech CSE admission in private universities and affiliated colleges in Delhi/NCR through direct admission or state-level counseling.
Delhi/NCR B.Tech CSE Admission Landscape
Government/Public Institutions (Require Strong JEE Rank)
- IIT Delhi, DTU, NSUT, IIIT Delhi, NIT Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia
- Cutoffs for CSE are well below 25,000–30,000 ranks.
- Your rank (4 lakh+) is far beyond cutoff → not eligible.
