Yes, it does matter in some of the premier institutes. Example: If you're going to IIM and non-IIM member colleges that's nothing but grade 1 and grade 2 colleges. It does matter for your percentage. They just consider your +2 marks and the stream (how much you scored).

In BBA general, there is maths for one year and BBA honors doesn't have maths at all.

You can do BBA but I would recommend you that you should do it from Madras University as it has more value than Annamalai university and as both Annamalai and Madras University will offer you distance education degree but I doubt about the age criteria of Annamalai University.
