B.Com (Hons) provides student with a wide range of skills in area of commerce, accounting and management. It also helps in preparing the students for business enterprises in account and finance roles. Some universities allow students to specialise in a particular subject in a final year.
BBA program usually includes general business courses and advanced courses for specific functional areas such as finance, HR, IT, marketing, etc. BBA graduates get entry-level supervisor and junior management positions in various types of industries in different management functions.
In order to grow in career, both B.Com (Hons) and BBA graduate would require an MBA to move up the ladder.
If you target is to work in Finance and Accounting then B.Com (Hons) is recommended degree for you else you may opt for BBA. B.Com (Hons) graduates are preferred over BBA graduates by industry because of perceived better quality of students.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a three year Bachelors degree in Commerce and Business Administration. Syllabus of BBA degree program usually includes general courses on all functional aspects of business and electives courses for specific specialization such as finance, marketing, HR, IT, etc. BBA is a job oriented program which prepares you for supervisory roles in various kinds of industries. With 4 to 6 years of experience you can grow into managerial role. If you want to start your career as a manager then you may have to do MBA after BBA. I am of the opinion that if you are planning to do MBA then you must specialize in any function of your choice in MBA. However, if you are planning to study till BBA only and want to work in the banking industry then banking will be good for you.
