The selection criteria for this course are merit-based, and candidates must pass Class 12. Candidates who have not completed Class 12 are not eligible for admission.

Candidates seeking admission in BCA programme at PIMR must have secured minimum Class 12 with 50% aggregate or equivalent examination in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognised education board. A candidate who has appeared in Class 12 or other equivalent examination during current year as a regular or private candidate but whose result is yet to be declared can also apply for admission on provisional basis. But such a candidate must produce the certificate of passing the examination before the last date fixed for this purpose, failing this can led to admission cancellation.
