ACADEMICALLY, Bioinformatics students do not study Embedded Systems, Microprocessors, Graphics and Multimedia, Mobile Computing, 2 math subjects and there are separate courses for Computer Architecture and Organisation and Digital Logic whereas bioinformatics students study it as 1 subject.
The courses that we do have are: Biological Databases, Analytical Bioinformatics, Cell Biology and Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genomics and Proteomics, Molecular Evolution and Phylogeny e.t.c.

Depending on your desired college you can appear for the MSc Bioinformatics entrance exam. CUET-PG, ICAR AIEEA, PU CET, etc., are some popular entrance exam scores accepted by MSc Bioinformatics colleges in India. However, it is advisable to visit the official website of your desired college and fill out the application form.

Other eligibility criteria
Candidate must have completed B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/ Life sciences/ Zoology/ Botany/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Applied Biology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics with minimum 50% marks.
Final Year appearing candidate can also apply on provisional basis.

Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in AIET conducted by D.Y. Patil University.
