Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology located in Kolkata offers a B.Sc. (Hons. ). (Biotechnology) course. However, there are several reputed universities and colleges in Kolkata that offer B.Sc. Biotechnology programs. Some of these include:

If someone fails, the internal exam in Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI) then depending upon the nature of faculty member the internal exam may be conducted for that particular student on his or her request.

At Dr D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI), If someone misses the internal exam because of some medical emergency or any other appropriate reason then the exam for that particular student can be conducted by that particular faculty. The internal examination would be for 20 % marks.
