As fancy as a course of biotechnology sounds, what most colleges/universities offer in the name of biotechnology is life sciences. Yes, you heard that right. Biotechnology= Life sciences with a special focus on applied techniques like PCR, Western blot etc. (I. e. if you join a really reputed college). And that is not a bad thing. For e. g. in St. Xaviers Kolkata, you would study genetics, cell Biology bioinformatics, enzymology, immunology, ecology and evolution etc. In the Biotech integrated course. Just search the college by providing the correct details of the college. If the information you provided vary with any single term the total information will be varied by the website. Sometimes there will be some issues because if the same information for same colleges. So in that case the website will provide the misinformation. Both are very good options. The curriculum of both the courses are good. You can choose the programme based on factors like fees and strength of alumni network. There are placement cells in both the colleges.
