The mode of BAU Ranchi course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are ICAR AIEEA and others. Candidates willing to get admission must first visit the official website. Then click on the Apply Now tab. Then, select the required course. Then, pay the admission fee. Then, fill out and submit the application form with the required information.

BAU Ranchi admissions are predominantly merit-based. Candidates interested in the BSc programme at BAU Ranchi must have completed Class 12 or equivalent and have Physics, Chemistry, or Biology/ Mathematics. For UG programmes, the university conducts the Combined Competitive Entrance Examination organised by I.C.A.R. V.C.I. at the All India level and through the Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Examination Board.

Candidates who have passed bachelor's degree with Hons. in Agriculture/ Forestry/ Biotechnology and 5.5 years in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with at least 60% aggregate can apply for BAU Ranchi MSc course.
There is relaxation in the aggregate for SC/ ST candidates. Such aspirants need to complete their bachelor's degree with at least 55% aggregate.
