btech Eligibility

The basic eligibility requirement for the DTU BTech course is pass in Class 12th with a minimum of 60% aggregate. The accepted etrance exams are JEE Main,  JAC Delhi, and others. 

Aspirants taking admission under Odisha Category  must pass Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% aggregate for BTech. There is a relaxation of 5% in aggregate for SC/ ST category candidate. 

VIT Chennai offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST and applicants hailing from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura). 

Placement activities generally begin in the 6th or 7th semester. Some companies also offer early internship opportunities starting from the 5th semester, often leading to full-time pre-placement offers (PPOs).

Candidates must pass 10+2 with 50% in Mathematics separately and 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) overall. A relaxation of 5% is provided for OBC/OEC candidates, while SC/ST candidates just have to pass.

Aspirants generally need at least 45–50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class 12. Specific cutoffs vary significantly; top-tier branches at NIT Calicut require much higher JEE ranks than state-level colleges. 

Jaypee University of Information Technology offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at JUIT Solan, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Candidates must be Class 12 passed with 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) from a recognised board. 

Centre for Liberal and Advanced Studies, SAGE University Bhopal offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BSc at Centre for Liberal and Advanced Studies, SAGE University Bhopal, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme at Centre for Liberal and Advanced Studies, SAGE University Bhopal must be Class 12 passed or equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. 

NIT Surathkal BTech admissions are offered on an entrance basis. The institute accepts only those who clear the admission criteria given below:

Eligibility - Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects + Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects/ Biology as one of the subjects + a minimum of 75% aggregate (65% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates)

Selection Process - JEE Mains + JoSAA/ CSAB

VIT Andhra Pradesh offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at VIT-AP, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the college. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme must be Class 12 from a recognised board.
