Calcutta University offers a full-time MBA in multiple specialisations. The university accepts admission to MBA courses through national-level entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ JEMAT, followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The basic requirement for admission to MBA at Calcutta University is an aggregate of at least 50% in graduation. Hence, a candidate scoring less than 50% is not eligible to apply for MBA admission at the university. Such candidates can pursue an MBA at other colleges/universities. For admission to the M.Sc. For example; to pursue M.Sc in Food and Nutrition at Calcutta University, non-CU (Calcutta Universit) candidates need background of Chemistry or Physiology upto the graduation level. This is so that students are all coming to the couse with a base level of knowledge. Although, eligibility criteria for particular courses and colleges might differ drastically so one is advised to look at the latest admission guidelines provided by the university or contact admissions office directly for precise & accurate information.

With WBJEE 2024, if you are assigned the CS branch at GCECT, then it is possible to take JU or CU in Round2 only that highly competitive. That will be depend on your rank and seats availability. The minimum cutoffs for CS are generally high in JU and CU, so it all depends on whether or not your rank is close to last year's cutoff. Check the official WBJEE counseling notifications keeping in mind seat availability and cutoffs, and participate actively in Round 2.

Calcutta University WBJEE Cutoff 2024 was released for Round 2, for different categories under the AI and the HS quota, for different BTech/BE specialisations. For the General AI Category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 634 and 4348, with the most competitive course being BTEch in CSE. The least competitive course for the General AI category was B.Tech. in Jute and Fibre Technology.
