Hello Arnav,
British Columbia is one of the best university in the world. But, the cost of living is too expensive in that province. Also, M.Eng program in UBC is of 1 year and you will be getting work permit only for 1 year. In order to get 3 years of work permit, you have to drop few courses and complete it in 2 years. There are two UBC campuses. Only UBC - Vancouver is good and please don't apply for Okanagon campus.
Even Ottawa is not a bad option. It's a decent university. Getting PR in Ontario is quite difficult.
All the best.

Brother even if someone offer you a seat in this year September intake don't take it. In the last days of admission, there are many visa rejections, even if the file is strong. So, go for 2017 intake.

Hello Janam,
Conditional admits are given for two reasons:
1. If you don't meet English language proficiency requirement.
2. If you are still in your final semester and have not submitted the transcript.
If your profile is strong enough, but if you don't meet English proficiency requirement, then you will get the conditional admit initially. Then, you can retake the test, score well and get the unconditional admit.
Universities which offer conditional admit are:
1) Concordia University.
2) Carleton University.
3) University of Windsor.
4) University of Western Ontario.
5) University of Manitoba.
All the best.

Conditional offer letter is one in which you are granted with an offer letter under conditions, which have to fulfill within a certain time period. For example: any academic document, which you are unable to provide at the time of admission or you are unable to show the funds but can show afterwards. So, in this case they provide conditional offer letter. If you can prove that your problem is genuine and you will fulfill all the requirement later on within the time frame, then every university will provide you that.

Whenever, I want to find whether something is in demand in other country or not, I first see in which profession I can go after my course and thereafter see the job listings on google. If it is high, then it is in demand or vice-versa.
So, see in which area you can go after MS mechanical and find the jobs listing on Google of that in Canada. If there are more number of jobs than good.
