You are a civil engineer, so you are eligible to apply for both subjects, but for civil engineer transportation is more relevant than geology and in terms of job prospect, both have great prospects. USA and Canada is a better option.

Hello Nischay,
The course is pretty good in Canada. Canada is in need of skilled engineers and workers. So, definitely there are good opportunities for this course. Also, if you pursue Masters which is of 2 years duration, then you'll be given 3 years of work permit. You'll be having lot of time to search for jobs.
And I would suggest you to choose universities which are in Alberta, British Columbia, New Foundland and Manitoba provinces as there is a huge scope for your desired field of study in these province.

Both, M.Sc. and ME have research based and course based program. ME will contain more hardware papers whereas M.Sc. will concentrate more on SW. After M.Sc., you can go for PhD. Length of both the courses is 2 yrs.
