A Study Permit is the student visa required for international students looking to enroll for a full-time programme in Canada. The Canada student visa costs CAD 150. You will need the following to apply for a Canadian Study Permit.
- Admission letter from a DLI.
- A Valid Passport.
- Results from a medical examination and police verification.
- Two passport-sized photos of yourself.
- Proof of funds to support yourself throughout your studies.

Canadian universities do not offer tuition fee waivers, so, international students need to pay for higher education in Canada. However, there are certain Canadian universities that offer scholarships that cover a significant chunk of the tuition fee. So, international students should arrange for appropriate funds while planning to study higher education in Canada.

Tuition fees for Canadian universities vary depending on the program, school and region you choose. Tuition fee for undergraduate programs can cost up from CAD 30,000 to CAD 40,000 per year. Whereas, graduate programs can cost up to 35,000 CAD per year. The cost of living in Canada varies significantly depending on the city or region, however, it is estimated that students require anywhere between CAD 15,000 and 20,000 per year to cover living expenses.

Note that the University of Manitoba tuition fees for international students shall vary as per the chosen program. The estimated tuition fee for an international undergraduate student may range from CAD 18,000 - CAD 29,000 (INR 11.03 L - 17.77 L) for one year of study at the University of Manitoba. The annual fees for these expenses for undergraduate students shall be books and supplies CAD 1,500 (INR 91.90k); health and dental plan CAD 1,410 (INR 86.41k); sport and recreation fee CAD 195 (INR 11.95k); U-pass CAD 215 (13.17k).
