International students willing to go to Canada for higher education require a study permit to enter Canada. This study permit is issued to students when they arrive in Canada. The application fee to apply for a study permit to Canada is CAD 150. International students can pay this application fee via credit cards. Shastri Research Student Fellowship is given for students who are admitted in Bachelor’s, Masters’s and M.Phil level courses in recognised Canadian universities, colleges or institutions of higher education. This scholarship awards CAD 500 to CAD 1,000 (INR 30.50k - 51k) for up to 8 – 12 weeks and it is meant to support the students to undertake research, study an e-course, or take part in an e-internship. This scholarship is given only to the students who have completed at least six months of their course from a member of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute.
