Most schools require qualifications comparable to a Canadian Bachelors degree, which means a minimum of 16 years of formal education. In the Indian context, it implies qualifying in a professional four year degree like engineering or other such courses.
You need to score 70% in Bachelors degree.
TOEFL: PBT: 580 - 600 minimum.CBT: 237-250 minimum.
Some universities will require GRE score: 1200-1500.

Hello Mahesh,
Canadian Universities don't require GRE. Your IELTS score is good. You can definitely get into a decent university.
You can try for :
1) Concordia University
2) Windsor University
3) University of Western Ontario
4) New York Institute of Technology, Vancouver
5) Lakehead University
6) Brock University
All the best!

You need 6 bands with no less than 5.5 after class 12th to study in Canada. To be very honest, even if you get an offer letter from college or university, still visa officer will not grant visa because of low score in IELTS.

You are a civil engineer, so you are eligible to apply for both subjects, but for civil engineer transportation is more relevant than geology and in terms of job prospect, both have great prospects. USA and Canada is a better option.

Hello Nischay,
The course is pretty good in Canada. Canada is in need of skilled engineers and workers. So, definitely there are good opportunities for this course. Also, if you pursue Masters which is of 2 years duration, then you'll be given 3 years of work permit. You'll be having lot of time to search for jobs.
And I would suggest you to choose universities which are in Alberta, British Columbia, New Foundland and Manitoba provinces as there is a huge scope for your desired field of study in these province.
All the best.
