Yes, Cardiff Uni is highly worth it for Indian students. It more than makes up for its high tuition costs via it's:

  • Strong academic and research culture
  • High graduate employability (95%)
  • Lower costs of living than London
  • Scholarships worth up to GBP 10,000 (INR 12.5 Lakhs) per year
  • Strong Indian student community

Cardiff University and Cardiff Metropolitan University are both the universities located in the UK. Cardiff Uni is a Russell university and ranks higher in the world and UK-based rankings. On the other hand, Cardiff Met University is teaching-focused, modern university. 

  • Cardiff University is more selective with an acceptance rate of around 20%. The acceptance rate of Cardiff Met Uni is around 64% - 80%
  • In the Guardian rankings 2026, Cardiff Uni ranks at #37, whereas, Cardiff Met ranks at #87.

As an international applicant,  showcasing English language proficiency skills during admissions process is required.   

IELTS- Nursing courses require IELTS 7.0 with nothing less than 6.5, while some courses require. 

TOFEL- Nursing courses require overall score of 90.  

PTE- These courses require PTE Academic score of at least 76.
