Candidates are admitted to MBA programmes based on their performance in the entrance exam, group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI). In addition to having a valid scorecard from exams like the CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, etc., candidates must have finished their graduation in any discipline. The IIM administers the Common Admission Test (CAT), a national business aptitude test, to candidates seeking admission to the MBA programmes provided by its 20 campuses and more than 1,200 B-schools across India. It is anticipated that the CAT 2023 cutoffs for admission to the IIMs will be between the 95–100 percentile range across all categories. The CAT cut off percentile for top IIMs is anticipated to be between 98 and 100 percentile for students in the general category. For non-IIMs, the CAT cut off 2023 will be in the range of 94-100 percentile.

For the most part, entrance-based admissions are used for SRM Degree and PG College Karimnagar admissions, while the rest of courses are determined by merit in the qualifying test. Applicants must take the Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) in order to be considered for admission to MCA and MBA degrees. CAT results could be accepted as well. Merit-based admission to the remaining postgraduate degrees is determined by the qualifying exam results. The PG College, Karimnagar TSICET Overall Closing Rank Cutoff (General Home State) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA)-SRM Degree for the years 2022 and 2023 are, respectively, 54421 and 52413.
