A gap after completing Class 12 will not affect admission at private colleges. These colleges offer admission to students even if they drop a year to prepare for competitive entrance exams.

Students can apply to private colleges before the Class 12 result is announced. Most of private universities and institutions carry out their application process and conduct entrance exams before Class 12th results are out.

Yes, most law departments at private and government law colleges in Chennai do not ask for CLAT exam scores for BA LLB after Class 12. Even the top-ranked Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences  BA LLB course requires Saveetha Admission Test scores if you haven't sat for the CLAT exam. VELS School of Law has no entrance and takes in candidates with 45% or more marks in Class 12 in total.

No, a gap year will not affect your MBBS admission in Kerala because the eligibility criteria for MBBS in private MBBS colleges in Kerala do not mandate or ask about gap years whatsoever. As long as you have passed Class 12 with PCB and English with at least 50% marks taken together in those subjects and have attained an age of 17 years by the time of admission, you're golden. There is no rule that you have to apply immediately after 12th. The only qualifying exam you need to clear is NEET-UG, and after clearing that, you simply register for the MBBS counselling process in Kerala.
