With 96 percentile, you're already in a strong position. At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, you will likely get a good branch (even CSE/COE chances are decent depending on cutoffs). But honestly don't rush.If you still have another JEE attempt left, it makes sense to wait and try to improve. Even a small jump can open better options (top NITs, IIITs, etc.).Simple way to think-

  • If Thapar is your safe + comfortable option → keep it

  • But don't lock in yet if you can still improve your score

You're in a good spot. Just play it smart and keep options open.

Yes, DY Patil International University does offer scholarships for B.Tech Bioengineering, so you can definitely get some fee reduction if you meet the criteria.

The university provides merit-based scholarships mainly based on your performance in exams like JEE, NEET, MH-CET, or your 12th board marks. For example, if you have a strong score, you can get up to 50 percent scholarship on tuition fees, while mid-range scores may give you around 15 percent to 25% reduction. Even students with around 75 percent in 12th can get about 10% scholarship.

These scholarships are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so ap

Yes, you can initiate your application for the St. Peter's IHER, Chennai Powered by Emversity BPT even if your final board results are not yet out. You can be granted "provisional admission" based on your 10th-grade performance and 12th-grade pre-board marks. Applying early can be time saving while you wait for your results.
