SRM conducts SRMJEEE entrance examination, BITS, Pilani conducts BITSAT entrance examination, VIT conducts VITEEE entrance examination. SRM Chennai has a reputation of having a very active placement cell. Therefore I feel that you will definitely see good companies coming in for recruitment.

It was a men's college earlier, however, now they admit both genders.

There are many universities available in Chennai but the top universities are VIT, SRM & Coimbatore University. They have good placements & good infrastructure.

After completing your 12th standard results, you need to appear for TANCET entrance examination, which is for colleges in Tamil Nadu. Besides, you can also appear for entrance examinations conducted by autonomous universities like MGR University, SRM university, Vellore institute of Technology (Chennai Campus) etc.
