Both of them are totally different universities. CUSAT is considered of the best Universities. At the same time KTU (under which RIT is) is a new one where its first batch graduated last year.

You can apply for ITM-Mumbai, Balaji Institutes-Pune, XIME-Bangalore, XIMR-Mumbai, BIMTECH-Noida, Flame University-Pune and MIT-Pune. Also, you need to score more than 90 percentile to get a call from a good college.

I can give you more details about one side.
If you are passionate about computer science and want to do research and create something new, you'll definitely not regret leaving and joining IIIT-D.
You'll get the chance to work at cutting edge things, go deep into computer science and acquire deep technical knowledge of a variety of domains (and the way YOU want them. The curriculum provides a lot of flexibility). If you want to work in the technical industry/research industry and learn, you would not regret joining IIIT-Delhi.
