See you are opting for quite an outdated course. The scope and opportunities are very less. Talking about placement, it more or less lacks everywhere in civil branch. First of all, MIT provides you better placement as compare to Manipal University Jaipur. And, if you hate biology, then you can go with Manipal Jaipur. Manipal Jaipur is also good and provides you average placement. Both of these campuses have got a really good infrastructure and good campus life.

Old NITs, if you are going there for job purpose. And, if you just go for the degree, then I'll prefer you to opt for the new IITs, as there their name is far better than NITs.

You can go for NIT-Warangal, Raipur and Calicut.
All these are very good options.

For mining branch, the on-campus placements are very low, it's less than 30% and even low for the batches I saw. None of my friends from Mining department got placed in the campus and many of them have pointer 8.5+. Later, they got jobs through off-campus placements, that's a different story.

GLA, Mathura is better than ASM because GLA has a good placement record and also GLA has good faculty members.
