Guwahati University has not released any MBA specific placements statistics for the year 2023 or 2022. However, as per the NIRF 2022 report released by MHRD, Ministry of Education, the median salary for two-year PG courses at Gauhati University stood at INR 8.40 LPA which was 60% up compared to the median salary offered to two-year PG courses during placements 2021. However, as per the data collated from verified students’ reviews on Shiksha, the current and pass out MBA students mention that the salary packages offered to MBA students he ranges between INR 5 LPA and INR 10 LPA. As per the data collated from the official website, Gauhati University MBA admission is completely entrance-based. Students seeking admission must are either required to go through the university-level entrance test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds or those with a valid score (75 percentile and above) in national-level entrances, such as MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT can directly appear for GD and PI rounds for final admission. Any information on direct admission is not available in the online brochures. However, students are advised to reach out to the admission office for any details on the same.

The total tuition fee for MBA at Guwahati University ranges between INR 7,000 - INR 3.35 lakh. Other than the tuition fee, the students are also required to pay additional charges inclusive of the security and hostel deposits, etc. (if applicable). This tuition fee, however, is sourced from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. Yes, Gauhati University offers a two-year MBA programme across four specialisations, namely Marketing, Finance, HR, Production. Spread over four semesters, admissions to MBA at GU starts in the month of March and the final shortlist is released in the months of May-June. The course is inclusive of a 60-day internship/ in-plant training for them to learn the basics of solving real life problems in business/ industrial organisations.
