During 2024 placements, MBA was the top UG branch with the highest placement rate of 92.86%. On the other hand, 78% of BTech and BDes students were placed. As per unofficial sources, IIT Guwahati alumni are working in leading national and multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Oracle, TCS, Infosys, HCL, Adobe, etc. They are majorly involved in the Engineering sector with a 35% share. Guwahati University has not released any MBA specific placements statistics for the year 2023 or 2022. However, as per the NIRF 2022 report released by MHRD, Ministry of Education, the median salary for two-year PG courses at Gauhati University stood at INR 8.40 LPA which was 60% up compared to the median salary offered to two-year PG courses during placements 2021. However, as per the data collated from verified students’ reviews on Shiksha, the current and pass out MBA students mention that the salary packages offered to MBA students he ranges between INR 5 LPA and INR 10 LPA.
