Bangalore University offers a two-year postgraduate degree in MCA. The basic eligibility to apply for Bangalore University MCA programme is to pass graduation with a minimum aggregate of 50% from a recognised university. Hence, those who have scored less than 50% in their Bachelor's are not eligible to apply for the course. However, the candidates can decide to pursue MCA in distance mode. Candidates can also go for one of the colleges offering online MCA courses.

Securing admission to the BA course without PESSAT is not applicable. To get admission to the BA course, candidates must register for the PESSAT exam. PESSAT stands for People's Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is conducted by PES University courses offered by the institute. To get admissiom in PES University BA course candidates must appear for the university administered in-house entrance exam called PESSAT. While students can apply with a valid score from PESSAT or any national or state-level entrance exam, registering for PESSAT is mandatory. Admisson to the BA course is subject to a valid score in the PESSAT exam, which stands for People's Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test. PESSAT 2024 last date to apply for the exam was April 14 for candidates who wish to appear in exam centers outside Bengaluru.
